"As the fining pot for silver, and the furnace for gold; so is a man to his praise."
- Proverbs 27:21
A fining pot purifies silver.
A furnace refines gold.
So a man (or woman) ought to closely examine any praise he/she receives, removing the "dross" from the quality substance.
But also, man is the ideal vessel through which praise is purified. Through the life of a man or a woman, praise (to God) can be "perfected" through the highs and lows of this life.
Perhaps it is in the furnace or crucible is where praise can be cultivated.
In good times, in bad times, in all times, I want to be found with hands lifted high in praise to the one true God, Jesus.
